I was wondering today why colors were called thier name i mean i can tell why an orange was called orange, because its orange dah but why is blue called blue?

To differentiate it from red which is called red.
(joke couldn't resist)
I think there is no reason for the word blue except whoever was in charge of naming words named it blue.

There was a game book where they made up a condition of life and then named it.Very funny and we who read it could relate. For instance a person who likes to practice outer body experience just before he has sex might be called........voyeur. or retroactive.
So you might try this yourself. when intrigued by a certain condition of life.

The color of the sky is blue in daylight. Also a bluebird is blue

Ya. maximum english words come from Latin and French. that's tremendously dazzling how ninety% of our vocabulary comes from the "lifeless language (Latin)". i think of the founder language of our present day english language must be extinct. it would be back with a clean blast!
