Melt...I agree with you ...on your last part...the Democrats that won are either new, moderat or conservative.
My question is will they simply bring us more of the same?, or will Nancy be able to bring a firm unity?

I believe the recent election was a reaction of America against the current administration.

Nothing more.

EDIT: The Republican party is fine. The administration is another matter.

The members here at yahooanswer? No, they had no impact. You can tell by the ballot initiatives that won: Bans on gay marriage in 6 or 7 states. English the language of Arizona. No affirmative action in Michigan. These were conservatives voting for conservative Democrats because the Republicans have failed at being conservative. I think the left at yahooanswers is very liberal and lost a lot of initiatives and didn't get the Democrats they really wanted in office. I'm not saying it wasn't a "thumpin'" it was, I just don't think the Dem win aligns with the Dems on this board.

I don't think Nancy can pull it off. The Dems now know how to win and they're not going to risk 2008 to placate the farther left, it just doesn't win.

The election results are easy to read. Republicans stopped legislating as conservatives. The conservative base was fed up. Democrats ran as conservatives in southern states and won.

If republicans would legislate like conservatives, the problem would fix itself.

No. It was an anti-incument election. Typical of mid term elections during unpopular wars. If the Democrats had been in power it would have happened to them.

And yes they would have gotten us into Iraq. Most of the ones in power were for the war before they were against it.

I think the demos have bitten off more than they can chew. They along with the media spent too much time bashing Bush , now they are in the same boat having to do the same thing Bush is doing.

Gosh no, why would I think that? Neither do I believe that the Dems on here are responsible for the victory.
