I'm not sure if everyone is understanding me. My periods are always normal. They come every 30 days. In fact I've been pregnant before so i know that i don't have an issue with fertility. My period stopped 5 months ago b/c i was sooo stressed out about my moms breast cancer. My doc gave me a dose of Provera to bring my period down, and 10 days later it came. What i', asking is does anyone know why i didn't get my period this month since i'm not pregnant. I was wondering if Provera throws off your period or something

i totally understand you and PROVERA is different from DEPO-PROVERA! lol....anyway, as a PCOS patient, i have been given provera on numerous occasions to bring on a period. i'm no doctor but my guess is your period did stop b/c you were stressed. now that it's lasted this long? i dunno why you still wouldn't get one since you are so regular. Provera does not throw off your period. I suggest you just take it easy, relax and give your body a couple of months to get back to normal. If nothing happens then i suggest you make an appt.

I took provera...you take it for 10 days and then your supposed to start then or like a few days after you quit taking it...its supposed to shed your uterus lining....thats all it really does it doesnt make you ovulate or anything.....sometimes when they give you provera and it works the first time and you dont get your period again for i think my doctor said 35 days afterwareds...i could be wrong it could be 30 ur su pposed to call them back...so they can prescribe you something else. Provera didnt ever work for me...at all and i called back and they wrote me some really high prescriptions it was provera for a whole 30 days and two other medicines that were 85 dollers a peice...i hope you have insurance...goodluck to you i hope you and i both get our periods back!!

Lol i know what you mean when you post something about Provera...i really wish people wouldnt give people the third degree if they didnt know what the question was about the first time lol
