I see a lot of guys at my school twirling pencils around there fingers in class. I have asked them to teach me but they go so fast. I have never seen a girl do this. Are guys born with this skill? It looks so fun and I have been trying to teach myself but have not had any success. Please share if you know how.

it's easier to show you than describe in words, but let's give it a whirl. (i'm actually chuckling as i write this cuz i think it's a cute question)
try it with a pencil first. your hand is going to hold it in 3 places.
1. middle finger and ring finger on one side of the pencil
2. thumb on other
3. pointer finger holding the tip
make sense?
-now start to slide your thumb towards the tip
-as your thumb slides past your middle finger you will slightly release your pointer finger from the tip. the pencil will rotate around your thumb
-now all you have to do is catch it with your pointer finger
i think that's the easiest one. i know some others but it would be very difficult to describe. good luck and happy twirling.
