I guess you are saying that because some of the news reports said that the President didn't listen to Cheney about firing Rummy! Well I believe he is usually at the meetings that are imp. espc. like a meeting w/ the new Speaker of the House, Nancy!! The President relies on him and he probably always will. But, you are correct in that he's more independent of Cheney than before. I heard that report too!

I didn't see him but he was possibly there...hiding from camera shots. I think you will see both Cheney's take a low profile for a while...he steers clear of the mud slinging and makes jokes about the faux pas of others. That's his style. Both Bush and Cheney will be lame ducks now. The people have spoken.

Vice President Cheney's opinions are relevant for 2 more years.

Hey. . . Maybe that should be the new Republican chant .. .

I don't know if he was invited or not?

btw: If President Bush's administration is now the "Lame Duck" administation, does that mean that when Clinton was in the white house with a Republican Senate and House that it was the "Lame F**k administration?" I mean him sleeping with Monica and all. lol

Since his vote is required to break a tie and the attendance record of our senators is horrendous, his opinions are far more valuable today then they were on Monday.
