My mother was killed in a car accident. She died on impact. The night before her funeral, I was sleeping at my Dad's house, and I was awakened in the middle of the night by a very bright light against my closed eyelids.I opened my eyes & saw two globe shaped balls of light hovering unevenly over me. It lasted for a few seconds. They took off as though they were traveling in a 3-dimensional way, as something you might see on TV, then disappeared.I know it was not a reflection of light from outside because my father had boarded up the bedroom window because of an air-conditioner he had installed. The bedroom door was also shut so there could have been source of light like this from inside the house.I thought she must be traveling with a guide. The night of her funeral, I felt her presence behind me.It felt like great love and compassion for my suffering.I felt her rub my back. When I spoke of this to others who were in the room, she disappeared.I do believe in God & heaven. What do u think?

That's pretty intense! For a while after my father died (he was only 64 and had a brain tumor), several family members said they could "feel" him watching over them at times. One special time for me was at my mother's house, about 5 mos. after his death. It was sometimes during the night, when the bedroom door opened (these were NOT the kind that just blow open w/a breeze) and I sensed a strong presence...my dad's! I wasn't freaked or anything, just incredibly calmed. He hovered there for awhile, then, as if satisfied I was okay, sort of vanished. I didn't see anything, but there was definitely a presence. I wish that had happened again, but according to my sister's psychic reading, he had "moved onto another plane of existence". It didn't change my non-belief in a god, but I definitely think ghosts exist!

My grandma recently died and we were really close.
On my wedding day, as I was putting on a pin of hers and we were heading out the door, a fire alarm went off. For no reason at all. It blasted for a few seconds and then stopped. The hair was raised on everyone in the room.
I know that was my grandma communicating with me.

Consider yourself blessed that you were able to sense and feel your mother's love one last time. Remember there are more things in this earth than that which is known by man. If you truely believed you felt your mother's presence I believe it too.

I have lost a close Friend in a car accident also ,I was very depressed and just shocked by it all,she came to me in a dream and held my hand and told me that she is OK and that she is in a better place happy.also told me not to worry about her and smiled at me.
so it is possible that the light you saw was your mother it is more important to remember the feeling you had when it happened.
good luck.

That is quite a experience. I would really believe in God and heaven after that experience.

Take comfort in your impression. Don't worry what others may think.
