i am actually a pisces, both in the sun and moon. but i have virgo rising...based on that what do people see me as?

I'm the opposite of you, me being a Virgo with Pisces, and as a Virgo, I'm told that sometimes I come off as having an attitude, or thinking that I'm better than someone, and even bitchy. But that's just because I don't make small talk (what's really the point when I don't know them), I'm direct and say what I mean and what I want, or sometimes I'm having a "shy" day and I don't feel outgoing enough to put myself out there and be overly friendly. So I've been told that I can be bitchy sometimes when really I'm just being me, and not meaning to be bitchy. Hope this helps, I know that because I'm Pisces Rising I'm way too emotional for my own good. BOOOO!

Depends on Mercury, ruler of your ascendant, where it is located. What house is it in, what does it aspect, and what are the aspects? Mercury is never more than 28 degrees from the sun. So it would either be in Pisces, Aquarius, or Aries. In either your 6th, 7th, or 8th house, if you have had a chart done correctly. All have very different meanings.
The Ascendant is only the image you choose to present to the world. Sun is the inner you, that only those whom you will allow to get to know you, will get to know you. You will have extremely high expectations in relationships due to the example your parents set. And depending where mercury is, tells me about your brothers, sisters, if any and aunts and uncles. Generally if Mercury is in pisces you will have a sibling with a medical problem, or you yourself will have a medical problem relating to either your lungs, your speech, diabetes, the feet, that sort of thing. Or you will have a love of fish, for example, aquariums, maybe have a sibling who is a gifted musician or may even work as an oceanogrsapher. All depends on the aspects and house placement. Heck, you could even have an aunt or uncle or sibling who is a nun or priest, or maybe even a gay rights activist. That's why you need to look at the whole chart. Maybe your dad owned a fishing boat, worked with ill people, was a musicain, worked in a shoe factory or went to prision. These are all just general examples. I know of one guy with the same basic aspects who earns a lving as a professional magician and is also psychic, all depends. But aunts, uncles, siblings or lack thereof will be importsnt in your life. Example, if ruler in the 8th, maybe you had a twin at birth that died, who knows? You gotta look at the whole chart. Just as a general.. Virgo rising is not bitchy. Virgo rising is "How can I best serve? What can I do to make this world, whether 10 miles from me or 1,000, a better place?" Why do you think so many Virgos work in the health field? Or work as analysists? Virgo rising works with details as well. And count your blessings. Because having sun and moon in Pisces(blessings there as well) means you are such a wishy pushover for every sob story that comes along that you need that analytical Mercury as a stabalizing influence because you are just so......what? gullible? wanting to believe the best about people even as they're sticking it to you? Depends on where that Mercury is whether they stick it to you or not. Will you settle for a musician as a husband, or an alcoholic? A priest, or a child molester? All depends on the aspects.

Because you have pisces in the sun and moon, pisces will probably have a more greater influence on your chart and the virgo influence will be more subtle. How did you get the idea of virgos being snobby or mean? Virgoes also have good characteristics too. They are modest, helpful, and smart. But I guess they can be a little snobby sometimes. So yes, virgo risings can come off as a b itch.

My experience with Virgo rising is a tendency to perfectionism and a bit too nitt-picky.
My mother is Pisces with Virgo ascendant and she is wonderful almost all of the time, but I remember as a child how she would insist my room be clean all the time and cleaned a certain way, that is one example and it drives other people nuts at times. Also at times she can take things too seriously. We all have good and not so good traits and qualities and all we can do is be aware of our downfalls/shortcomings and work on them. No one is perfect and no one ever will be! Maybe you are being too hard on yourself?
