I'm in a criminal justice course in college and i have to type a 5 page term paper by nov 30th on racial profiling and I don't know how. I'v never written one before and I'm freaking out because if I don't do it I will fail. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to write a term paper?

Since it is a very controversial subject, I suggest you discuss it from both points of view:
1. It is a violation of the Constitution;
2. it is acceptable in an Age of Terrorism.
Some hints:
1. in the introduction, say that you will analyze the issue from two points of view, presenting evidence from newspaper articles;
2. in the development of your paper, write a few paragraphs (or pages) on the first view (= violation);
3. then, a few more paragraphs (or pages) on the second view (= acceptable);
4. after that, state your own view, by means of good, solid arguments;
5. finally, write the conclusion;
6. write and rewrite (as many times as necessary).

Your college may have a writing lab where you can get help with this project. Strongly suggest that you try it. Then your next stop will be the library to look for resources. Then back to the writing lab for help putting it all together.
