That is the dumbest thing I ever heard. Truly.

Little Angel, how about reading some scientific information that are factual about the woman`s reproductive system instead of superstitious nonsense. This is the next step down from voodoo. As long as your hands are clean your husband is not going to become sick or die because you touched his salad. He more than likely would be alright if you didn`t wash your hands. You must be hispanic, as this sounds like a lot of the women`s tales I heard growing up.

Hey hon...it's only a myth...just cause you have your peorid doesn't mean your flowers will die or your husband will get sick and die either. The only reason it is sometimes good to clean your hands before you touch food with that is that if you have any kind of illness example the flu and don't know it yet the blood may carry it to your husband but if he hasn't got sick yet i can pretty much bet your in the clear. Don't believe all that you hear.

I'm not sure where you heard this but none of it is true. As long as you washed your hands before you started preparing the food, nothing bad is going to happen. And no, you can't cause flowers to die or make other bad things happen just because your on your period.

Due to the length of your question, I believe you are sincere. Bless your heart. Women have had periods for thousands of years. If it made their husband's sick when they touched their food, there would be no men. So logic and common sense prevails.
If you think he will "hit the roof" just say nothing about it. I bet a dozen Krispy Kreme's he will never know the difference (btw, I like plain glazed).
You are not contaminated, contagious, or ill; this is a normal part of being a woman. Please take some time to surf the web to some reputable sites about the reproductive cycle of women. It is important for you to understand your own body.
Peace and Blessings to you and your marriage.

I have heard alot of things, but that one is new to me! Did your husband forbid you to touch anything and tell you your cycle was dirty? If so, HE's a moron! By the way, are you a child bride, or from some other culture or country? Maybe that's what people think from other places, but here in the US we try to make sure our children grow up with a healthy body image.

I hate to agree with the "stupidest thing" answer, but you can't be serious about this question. You cannot possibly believe that things die and people get sick if a menstruating woman touches it. I know it's been called a curse, but it was said to imply the inconvenience it brought us, NOT to be taken literally. Please do yourself a favor and get out of the dark ages. There's infinite wonders in this time. Come join us.
By the way, I've even had sex with my period, and though it can be messy, it in no way hurt him and helped me get rid of cramps. I suggest doing it in the shower though, to avoid staining your sheets.

if that were the case i would have been a widow a long time ago. who convinced you of this? your husband? stop believing everything you read. women have enough problems just having periods without believing all the garbage myths that going along with them. no, nothing will happen, he will be fine and so will the rest of the world.

Ms. Sylvia, your question reminds me of an previous shaggy dog tale:- A gentleman gathered his urine in a bottle to get it examined in a lab. He only left it for a 2d on a teapoy in his homestead and went to the john. previously he back, the servant maid who grew to become into mopping the floor, accidentally toppled the bottle and the liquid have been given drained off. Fearing that her boss could shout at her, she rushed into the rest room, re-crammed the vial along with her urine and silently left it back on its unique place. the guy took the bottle (with out understanding what had occurred whilst he grew to become into away) and gave the urine pattern for testing. whilst the lab mentioned that being pregnant grew to become into beneficial, the indignant husband back homestead and shouted at his spouse: "I informed you to not take the right place for the time of love-making. Now, you notice, what has occurred! The lab checklist says that i'm pregnant"! So, except you have taken the right place, you like not issue.

Please spare us this. I cannot believe you would believe all of this or all this across all these questions is correct.
No. He won't get sick. Menstration is normal and natural. Wash your hands like after toileting. (PS the toilet seat is cleaner and less germy than a computer keyboard, a light switch, or a sink handle. Also less germy than the holder for toilet seat covers.)

It is not possible for someone else to get sick while you're on your period.
Wherever it is you read about a woman's touch during her period causing death is full of crap.
If that were true, there would be people dropping dead all over the world.
