98 plmouth voyager doesnt move in reverse but fine forward,just got back from shop,they put new motor in,tranny was fine before they got it,is it something simple or not?

take it back to them & tell them to fix it, don't let them charge you for they're foul up

okay if its an Automatic I would go check the

Follow the procedure for checking the automatic transmission
fluid level as described in this vehicle's owner's manual. In
general, this involves removing the transmission fluid dipstick,
wiping its end with a clean cloth, re-inserting the dipstick all the
way, pulling it out again, and checking the level. During this
procedure, it's usually necessary that the vehicle be on level
ground with the engine idling at operating temperature.

So this means if you do have a bad one, go change it. It should be Simple

As complex as today's transmissions are ( being they are fitted with electronic components) it is hard to say. The best thing to do is take it back to the shop and tell them to get it right because im sure you paid a pretty penny for a new motor and tranny. Dont screw up and void your warranty.

They probably don't have the linkage adjusted correctly. Take it back to the shop.

they probably didnt get all the shift linkage hooked back up properly.
