i took hot baths with all of my pregnancies and all is fine.in fact i think life would have been bad if i couldnt take baths while im preg.your not supposed to let your temp get over a certain degrees when your prg and thats why you have to be careful when getting hot no matter what way you do it.but i read in what to expect when your expecting that women usually get out of the hot bath before there temp gets to high because they get uncomfortable.

I have always loved piping hot showers, almost to the point of scalding. But When you are pregnant you need to watch your body temp. It has been okay for me to take no longer than 5 minute hot showers, cooling down at the end with cooler water. I have had to pregnancies while doing this, and it seems to have been okay in both.

PS water is a little to hot when you go OUCH! seriously, as long as you keep it short, i dont personnaly see why not. Just no hot baths, you just cant take a 5 mintue hot bath. Good luck!
during my first pregnancy i started having problems with preterm labor, but I started cooling off after taking shorter hot showers, and it has been fine. Even through my second pregnancy.

You should never take a bath that's hotter than 100 degrees -- the temperature is way too hot for the baby to handle! You can take baths as long as they're warm.

I almost handed out through fact of a warm tub while i become not pregnant. And with my final being pregnant had some problems with heart that weren't detected until finally hard work. warm showers made me experience ill. additionally, 'warm' is relative. while my hubby takes a 'warm' tub, I call it 'par boiling'!

Usually when they mean hot baths they are talking Jacuzzis and things like that. Its harm full to the baby if your body temperature raises to high so that is where the concern lies.

I think that hot showers are ok, just not hot baths... the hot water can raise your body's/baby's temperature.
