The presser foot is the thingie that sits on TOP of your fabric, when your needle is sewing. The lever is behind it, you lift it up to lift the foot up to put material under it and sew, and take it away.

Thread spool is the thin toothpick thingie that you stick your big spool of thread on. The pressure dial could be a bunch of places, it adjusts the tension of the machine. The throat plate is UNDER the pressure foot, you lift it up to drop a bobbin of thread in. The hand wheel is the big round thing on the opposite end of the machine from the needle, you can turn it by hand to go forwards and backwards.

You could also go to a sewing machine store and have them explain the parts to you.

The pressure dial is small and has numbers on it along the outer circumphrence to indicate the amount of tension on the thread before going to the needle.
