The person under 18 must have her parents' permission and signature to get married, then it's legal. Other than parents permission to be married or to be together, they can't be together because it's stagitory rape. The parents or a friend can report them, that can break them apart. Parents can place them together but not tear them apart, it's up to them to file for divorce.

Getting married that young is a mistake. Also, it's considered statutory rape for an 18 year old to be with a person who is under the age of 18.

If the parents wanted to, they could file the statutory rape charges and the 18 year old could go to jail.

Why would an over 18 even be interested in an under 18? Probably because they haven't grown up yet and don't have the maturity to stay within their age level. You are making a huge mistake. I know you in LoVeeee and all that but mark my words....many have been down your path and the road is full of pot holes.

Check your state laws. Usually one can get married at 16 with parental consent. No, your parents can't make you divorce unless you choose to do it. What can break them apart? Their own stupidity (same thing that breaks apart older couples as well!)

yes they can, but the under 18 would need permission from their parent...then you would be considered emancipated. which means you are legaly an adult and don't need your parents permission for anything. so no they couldn't make you get a divorce.
