Where is the Engine Coolant Temperature Switch located exactly on a 2001 Ford Escape V6 3.0L?? Also can you tell me how do you know if your PCM is bad, like what are the symtoms?? Thanx

the engine coolant temp switch is normally located on the head...one side or the other. It can also be screwed into the intake manifold. The one you are looking for will have only one wire going to it. There is normally two switches...one for the computer and one for the gage. the one with 2 wires goes to the computer and also runs your electric fan. The one with only one wire runs the gage.

If your ecm is bad...car won't run...period.

The coolant sensor on all vehicles is usually located next to the thermostat housing. As far as the PCM, a ECM diagonstic test is needed to determine if it is bad or not
