This coming from a man who was Bush's flunky as lately as yesterday morning.

Are the rats leaving the sinking ship?

Many republican finks have been evacuating that sinking ship for some time now. Many of them lost elections because they knew they couldn't support Bush and win and ended up having no platform on which to campaign. That Foley thing was like the Titanic breaking in two, leaving half temporarily above water and the other half to drown helplessly.

I'm a democrat but listen to both liberal and conservative talk radio. Michael Savage has actually not been a big fan of Bush or Rumsfeld for a very long time. I'm wondering if his opinion led to his firing from the station I used to listen to him on. That and he actually commended Hilary Clinton on something she had done. I think that was most likely the kiss of death. I do miss listening to him, he was insane and funny. Totally made no sense yet thought he did.
Rush is pointing out continually now how he is a "conservative" not a republican per se and that he is tired of "carrying the water" and "defending" republicans who don't deserve it. This after his private meeting with George Bush just before the election.

I've listened to Savage off and on for 3 years. He has always dumped on bush. However, he hates the Dems more than he does the Repub. He never liked Rumsfield. He thinks that Bush is no different than Clinton. They are both too liberal for him. But, when you are faced with the lessor of two evils you take the lessor and in his case that is Bush.
