Hello to all,

I have a world history AP question:

What was similar between Feudalism in Japan and Feudalism in Western Europe?

1) Political Structure, Social Structure, Honor Code
2) Political Structure, Social Structure, Legal Affairs

I'd appreciate it if you could tell me the answer and why it is the answer.

Thanks

AP World History is typically more rigorous. It probably involves more reading, a more advanced textbook written at the college level, a heavier work load, and more challenging classwork. You should definitely take AP over Honors if you're up for the challenge. AP gives you the opportunity to take a nationally administered exam in May, and if you do well on it, you can potentially get college credit for it. AP classes are generally more attractive on your high school transcript; colleges like to see that you're taking the most advanced course load available to you. Honors World tends to be little more than the basic high school history course. There's really not much to say about it.

Nr. 2 Because in western europe did not exist the Code of Honor, therere was a polititcal structure, with the king as the head of the govement, then priest, nobles, knights, serfs, peasants at the end, all of them tied by law which you refer as legal affais rights and duties, but no code of honor. Only in Japan existed the Code of Honor

This is more than just a simple question. Perhaps you should do some research on your own first. That's why you're in AP History!

I'm in AP world too! I just wrote an essay on this topic. It's 2 because the honor code in Japan was much more family oriented than it was in europe, in europe it was all "HONOR YOUR KING!!! FIGHT FOR YOUR KING" and in japan it was more keep honor for yourself and family above your country. :)

one thing about feudalism in western europe: there were these people called serfs that farmed and worked for lords in exchange for protection against barbarians. the serfs farmed the lords' lands, and after that they had their own land to farm.
