That's the only decent rock album I know of from this year.
Some of my favourite rock albums are:
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Radiohead - OK Computer
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Led Zeppelin - Remasters
Faith No More - Greatest Hits
The Cure - Standing on a Beach (the singles)
Split Enz - The very best of
I know there are more but I'm having a mental blank... Those are all awesome anyway : )

2006 has seen no good rock albums, with the possible exception of the new Bon Jovi album "Have A Nice Day".
As for other rock albums: Pink Floyd's entire library is excellent, as is Led Zeppelin's. Early Rolling Stones (Pre-1995), and David Bowie of the same era is excellent, as are all the albums from The Who (I have not yet picked up the new one, so I'm not sure about that), The Doors, Genesis, The Guess Who, BTO, Queen.....I could go on for hours.
