I feel fine, and the baby is active and seems to be growing fine according to the doctors measurments and my ultrasound, But everyone says I should have gained some weight by now. I was overweight before becoming pregnant and have actually lost one pound from my pre-pregnant weight

You are eating enough, and your body had the "stores" it needs to have a healthy pregnancy so you are fine.

Make sure to keep up the healthy eating after the birth because your body might be a little low in some nutrients. Your body is working hard right now, you will have to treat it well after. Congrats!!!

Wow, I wish I were lucky enough to have a healthy pregnancy and not have gained any weight as I was over weight previous to this pregnancy and I have already gained 45lbs and I'm 7 months. It stinks. My body just loves to pack on the pounds this time...

I would think you should have gained some weight by now but I guess as long as you're eating healthy and taking care of yourself and your doctor seems to think it's ok then enjoy yourself and your pregnancy. If you're really concerned then get a second opinion. Best of luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

if the doctor is not concerned then you should not be as well. My doctor told me the same because I have always had trouble gaining the weight. As long as the baby is growing then things should be fine. Just make sure you keep eating although you are not gaining. BEST WISHES

i know of someone who didnt gain much weight probaby only 3-4kg throughout the pregnancy. so long the baby is growing & gaining weight, i suppose it's fine. if you are really worried, why not do a 3D scan then you'll be able to see the baby's features & all. it'll give you a peace of mind.

If you're doctor's not worried, than you shouldn't be either. Heck, it sounds like you're very lucky!! I sure wish I didn't gain a lot of weight while pregnant LOL... Don't worry, I'm sure you'll put on a few pounds soon, enjoy it while you can.

I wouldn't listen to what "everyone else" is telling you. I'm sure that they mean well, but a doctor is more qualified to make any decisions about what is normal for you than Great Aunt Bessie. Every person is different, and what happened to one person during her pregnancy may not apply to you. If the the doctor says everything is okay, take his word for it. He went to school for many years to learn about what is normal for people to experience, and he is the best judge of what is best for you and your baby. Don't worry, and I hope your pregnancy goes well!

Congrats! You are in the lucky minority who doesn't have to fight off 'baby weight'! Be happy for your health, your baby's health and stop stressing! Get ready for your new addition... If the doctor says it is fine, it is. He's the one with the MD remember and I have to imagine he has done this before!
