my hp laptop is not starting up.....its giving me this screen that says safe mode and a whole bunch of other stuff....i tried to click safe mode and start up regular it then sends me to this blue screen afterwards that has alot of words on it then it shuts off......can any one please HELP.......thank you

When you see the option for safe mode, there should also be an option saying last good startup. Try that one. if that doens't work, you may have to do a 'repair' install of windows...you do have your install cd's don't you?

If its an HP you should have restore discs that should have come with the computer. They will get you back to the factory settings.

Back up all your important files first once youre in and reinstall the Windows operating system. Good luck.

DUDE I HAVE THE HP LAPTOP AND THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED IT WAS SO WEIRD THAT IS WHY I USED RECOVERY DISKS and THEN THERE WAS A OPTION CALLED RESTORING DATA TO FACTORY SETTINGS........NOTE ANY USER DATA IN THE HARDDRIVE WILL BE DELETED .....

Have you called tech support? What is your model number? Did this happen after you installed something or did anything differently?
