The answer is to make abortion legal, safe, and extremely rare. Rather than worry whether should be allow to have abortions, worry about why women need to have abortions. There will always be the occasional woman and/or fetus who has a medical problem making an abortion necessary for the health of the woman. The question one must ask is who is more important, the woman who exists or the child who might?

yes we do, at least quit making it legal because there are alot of women that use it as a birth control. its a womans right to choose what happens to her own body, i will give the pro choice that, but when they have an abortion they are choosing what is going to happen to an innocent babies body, y doesn't the baby get a choice in the matter? thats being pretty selfish just thinking of yourself and not an innocent life.
as far as what sortega said----if it weren't legal then there would still be abortions but not as many, and i feel like if they are going to get the abortion then they should pay the consequences. not be in a safe enviroment to do it. it doesn't make any sense to me that u can have an abortion lets say 2 hours before u are to give birth to the child but if u wait until that child is born and try to kill it , u are a murderer, tell me its not a baby 2 hours before they are born, its exactly the same .

I think that it definitely needs to end. Just because the baby is in the body of the mother does not mean that the infant is the mother's body. There are so many families who are willing to adopt, anyway. I think the only way abortion should be legal is if murder were made legal, too. I agree with Ortega that more needs to be done other than legislation. I think that the main problem lies with women being made to feel ashamed when they are pregnant before marriage or in high school. They need to have support systems and have the right to feel excited about the birth of their child.

No. I agree that is selfish, in a lot of cases, but think about this: would you like your 15 years old daughter to get raped & pregnant and not be able to do something about it? Would you let her young body carry a pregnancy and then give the child to adoption just so that child lives? Or keep the child and ruin her chance of having a normal life and education?
Rapes happen, broken condoms happen... I think it's only fair to let a mother decide what's best. Adoptions not always have a happy ending, there are kids out there who are never adopted.
If abortion would be legally stopped, I think we'll find in the newspapers articles about dead women who tried to abort by using a coathanger or who knows what. Or they would just do it illegaly, in really unsanitary environments.
Personally, I wouldn't have an abortion, but I'm mature, married and able to take care of my kids (I'm expecting twins, by the way).

I am pro-life, but we have to realize that the only way to really stop abortion is to make people see it is wrong. There has always been abortion, the only difference now is that is doesn't have to be a dark secret. If you make it illegal, it will still happen, and it will probably be alot more dangerous. You have to change the people that do it, not the legislation that allows it.

no matter how we feel it is a personal dessicion
and stopping it will not help the problems
we need to create insensive to offer to people that are pregnant and don't want the baby
yes their abortion but the process is so hard that some people would prefer to abort
I don't beleive in it nor would I recommemded it
I have never had to think about it in a personal situation
but I can imagine that it is not easy for someone that has too
anyway I think that is a personal business
Gov & others should not interfer

yes we do. i tihnk that of u want a baby then do it, if not dont do it at all or use a condom. so many precious babies like die every second. everyone should have at least a chance to live. even babies.when i think of this it makes so sad to think that most people that think that killing is not the answer, then why do they abort the child? also, some people even just do it and dont think about the risks like aids and Hiv. i hate people who dont think before doing something. its makes me so mad that cruel people ould actally do that. people should think of this. if they abort them they wouldnt have a life, not be here. they could have the baby and let people adpot the child, sometimes people just cant think. also, they should make it illegal cause its also murder

YES, we need to stop abortion. Why would someone want to kill a poor innocent baby who has done nothing to anyone.

This is a touchy subject. Not really one for me to answer. however there are different circumstance for everybody. Think about a women who has been raped what would you do.I don't know what I would do, because I have never been in that situation but women are all the time. I think every body has a right to there own body and nobody would tell me differently if that was the case.

I don't agree with abortion, but sadly they will probably never make it illegal. That's up to the individual not to do it.
