I prefer the instrumental version; that's why I want to learn how to play the piano.

You could also use the instrumental version as a soundtrack of sorts for voice. I prefer the words myself because I write poetry but I also play guitar.

Words are fun to sing along and usually the most emotionally important part of the song; music underscores other activities and memories, and instrumentals make great ringtones.

Instrumental is cool, but I like to hear the words. Then I can *try* to sing along. ;)

I am tone deaf, so I tend to enjoy the words more than the instrumental.
