It all depends on the subject matter. For very urgent applications, an ex parte application can be made to a judge in chambers, in which case it is a matter of hours! Otherwise, it depends on how full the court list is.

Are you in S.C.? If so, they can get one right away but if they want to get more info they may hold off. Judges work late in S.C.
