Diapers (we buy bigger boxes) so like $36.00 once a month...but again that depends on the age... in the beginning we'd go through a pack for like $17.00 a week-week and a half... but decreased as he got older.
Wipes- the big box once a month $9.00
Formula- $36.00 a week until one year
Rice Cereal- $1.25 one box a week
Baby Food- not as much around 4-6 months- but during that time lets say one jar every day (we'd give him half a jar of fruits and veggies each day) So in a week that would be $3.50
Bibs- 5 pack for $6.00 depending on where you get them/prices
Bottles- 3 pack Avent for like 12.00
pacifires- $1.50
Lotion, baby shampoo, baby powder, baby wash- all around $10-maybe cheaper depending on how much you get and what brand
Balmex- $3-4?? forget price
Clothing- onsies, sleepers, gowns- $30, again could vary on what you get and how much. 3 gowns for $10, 5 pack onsies for $10 two sleepers for $10 maybe
Blankets- big ones- $15, receiving blankets- 3 for $10
Car seat- $100 or more
bouncer/vibrating chair- $20 or more
play mat- $50/less or more
Crib- depends on where u get it from - maybe $200
crib sheet- $15/depends on what kind
changing table- $100?
changing pad- $30
changing pad cover- $10
Diaper Champ- $30
Infant Tylenol- $8-10 a bottle, a couple times a month
Infant Mylicon drops- $10 a bottle, a couple times a month if gassy!
finger nail clippers- $1.25
Nose suction bulb- free from hospital
Diaper Bag- usually free from hospital
Hair brush/comb - $2?
ear thermometer- $30?
swing- $65
toys- $10 each/depending on what kind... teethers- $1.50 each
Bedding set- mine cost around $300 for everything- comforter, rug, padding, mobile, light, light swtich cover, etc.
ETC ETC... I have to get going, but this is a very long list so far! You spend several thousands of dollars on your precious baby! All worth every penny! It also helps if you have several baby showers! I did, and we didn't have to get a whole lot extra- it helped tremendously!!!!

With the cost of living on the rise no one can predict the amount that a new born will cost, however I CAN tell you that if you have a child this year and want to know the college tuition costs in 18 years simply take what college tuition is today and multiply that by about 10, that will also give you an indication of how much it will cost to raise a child from infantcy to 18 years as well. Hope you have A LOT of money saved.

They are not as expensive as you think. I think day care has got to be the most expensive (180 per week for newborns in my area). There's formula, which is $12-25 per can, 2-3 cans per week. Check out Walmart. Breastfeeding is free! There are tons of resale shops with CUTE gently worn clothes, or ebay or craigslist. Besides medical, which will vary, that's about it! Of course, you can buy every baby apparatus but what a baby needs is love. Everything else will fall into place.

Clothes- Can be very pricey..from $5.00-$60.00 ( 60.00 if they are designer.)
Baby's Room- (Crib)-$100.00-$500.00, (Crib Bedding)- $100.00-$250.00, (Bassinet)-$50.00-$150.00, (Dressers)-$100.00-$300.00, (Rocking Chair)- $150.00-$400.00 for a really nice one, (Blankets)- $10.00-$30.00
Formula (powdered)- similac advanced-$15.00, Similac Alimentum(for colic babies)- $25.00...the prices range depending on the baby and what your doctor wants.
Doctor- If no insurance, $75.00 for a visit...$40.00 for a sick visit.
Baby Toys- All different prices depending on the quality and brand of toy...about $1.00- $75.00
They are very expensive, and i hope i helped you out ! my baby of course with my luck needed the most expensive formula, but my baby shower helped us out a lot. I was given diapers, clothes, toys, blankets...everything i needed. If your girlfriend or wife is having a baby, definitely make sure she gets a baby shower!
