I am a very young adult, and I am considerably ignorant of the world. It seems like there is so much to know once you graduate from college, everything from who to vote for, to taxes, to jobs, to EVERYTHING! I dont feel ready to take on all these responsibilities! How did you deal with entering your adult life?

for now - you take one day at a time. Just relax and start to ask questions. Everything will fall into place and trust me, once you do it once, (taxes, job interviews, vote etc) you don't forget how to do it.

Being an adult is hard, but so is being a college student. To be very honest I'm 41 & don't know much but a good way to learn is by listening to others especially the ones with different opinions that's how you learn. When I graduated 6th grade they put in my year book what they thought that everyone would be doing in 20 years & for me they put that I'll still be asking questions, and I still am. Ignore the idiots you come in to contact with & try and be as happy as you can. Good luck

Hi from France Life is not so hard !.. It is hard only for people who lacks of adaptation, or when they are immature !.. Childhood is shorter because a human need less time for become an adult. Build our organism is shorter than live until we are old .. Have a nice day, Catherine

It can be a real pain but at least you've gotten past the crazy teenage years and those are worse. I've found that having some older friends has helped me because I can get better advise on everything from how to deal with my kids to buying a car to all the lovely medical/physical issues that come up (that your younger friends would never admit to!) All in all though it's not as difficult as you probably are imaging it to be.

what makes you think its a race,
there is no rush to learn it all in one day
we are all yet ignorant ,you dont wake up one day and say gee i know it all ,
we learn while we are here and we continue to learn forever ,there is no rush and nom hurry you will learn that in time
dont think its a race that when you reach this or that age the race is won or lost ,you climb a hill ,then at the top you see if its good or not ,then you climb down again or climb the next hill
each time you reach the top you have a rest and choose what to do now
each hill gives a new vision you go with that or find another
there is no end to the visions and learnings you can and will find
you deal with adult one day at a time ,and even more easy one second to the next second
each second you can choose to smile or frown ,but the next second you can do any thing ,its not lived all at once but only one step at a time
the greatest journey begins with the first step but doesnt end till the last
then what well you may want to go home
or had so much fun you try another challange
and another but not all at onece but one step at a time
its what you learn from each step you call your own known proved life experience
make it good or bad but choose to live it one day at a time

You take it one step at a time...there is nothing glamorous nor that terribly exciting about adult life...just bills, bills & more bills!!! j/k--there are some perks to adult life (ie no curfew, can buy liquor legally, etc) but they also come with responsibilities!! It makes me wonder somedays why I was in such a gosh darn hurry to grow up!!!!

But in the long run, you will be fine, just take one day at a time & you'll find that it really IS as hard as it looks/sounds!!! =) Good luck!!!

Well... You just go out there and start doing it... You find a good job while you're still with your parents... Then save money for your car... then go and save alot more for futre use... Never know what you will need it for... But if you do that... then it shouldn't be that hard to start out... But living an Adult life isn't that hard... just have to keep up with bills and food... thats really it...

It sounds like you need a mentor and believe me becoming an adult is a process. You'll make mistakes but you'll be okay.
