7(3x+4)=8(2x+5)+13
21x + 28 = 16x + 40 +13
21x -16x = 53-28
5x = 25
x = 5

Distribute each side (multiply the 7 by 3x and 4 and the 8 by 2x and 5) so that it reads:
21x + 28 = 16x + 40 + 13
21x + 28 = 16x + 53
5x = 25
x = 5

You first do 7times3x and that is = 21x. Then you do 7times4 and that's= 28. so it should look like this so far
21x+28 = 8(2x+5)+13. Next you do the same thing 8 times 2x is = 16x. Then 8 times 5 is = 40. Now it should look like this
21x+28=16x+40. Now you subtract 16x from 21x and that is =15x
now it should look like this 15x+28=40 then you subtract 28 from 40 and that =12. Now it should look like 15x=12+13 now you divide 15/15=x then 12/15=.8 so now that's your answer x=5. Hope That Helps!!!!!!!

first multiply out the stuff
7 x 3X is 21X and 7 x 4 is 28
8 x 2X is 16X and 8x 5 is 40

so,
21X + 28 = 16X = 40 +13
move stuff to same sides
5X = 25
so, X= 5
