Republicans control nothing right now. George W. Bush can only serve two more years. After that, I think we're all ready for a change. In fact, I wish there were term limits in Congress as well!

The Repubs haven't kept control of Congress - it's now in the control of the right party - the Democrats!!! Hooray!!!!!!!! And Bush only has about 14 months left, then he goes back to Crawford where he can cut brush and be forgotten.

It doesn't make much difference now, does it? The Republicans lost control of the Congress because they were not responsive to the needs and will of the people, and the people became disgusted with them. Ten years ago the Democrats lost control of the Congress because they were not responsive to the needs and will of the people, and the people became disgusted with them. I shudder to think of Nancy Pelosi in line for succession to the Presidency, yet there it is, and we have to deal with it

We may have Bush controlling the executive and judicial branches, but the Democrats took back the House and Senate.

Umm, the democrats have a slim higher margin in Congress, now, even though they won't have the majority vote needed for a lot of stuff, neither will the Repubs.

I feel unsafe having Bush as president.
If not for political reasons, simply for the fact that the culture of Islam's followers says that the sins of the father are visited upon the son.
We were safe when Clinton was president.
Bush Sr. pissed them off. It makes perfect sense to them to punish the son for the father's transgressions.
