I was on the depo shot for 3 years. It took me about a year for my periods to start. It has been about a year that they have been normal. We have been trying to get pregnant for several months now with no luck yet. I know that for some people it takes a little longer but in my situation could this be because of the shot? Has anyone else experienced a delay getting pregnant because of the shot?

I was right where you are a few years ago, keep trying, it will happen. I had almost given up hope of having a baby, and then found out that I was expecting. I now have a 2yo girl and a 6 week old boy. I was on the shot for about 2 1/2 years, and off for over 2 before I got pregnant with her, so it does take longer for some depo users that others. Good Luck

YES it is because of the shot. If I would of known the consequences of the Depo I would of never took it. Yes unfortunately I am on the same boat as you, I also was on the depo for a couple of years. We have been TTC, but so far no luck. I had a miscarriage in April of this year which made my husband and I really sad because we thought we were finally going to have a baby, but like they say things happen for a reason. All I can tell you is to keep your head up, and don't give up OUR time will come eventually all we have to do is keep trying. Best of Luck to you sweetie =)
