If you have history on your hard drive that you don't want anyone to ever know was on there then replace the drive and load it with fresh software. Take the old hard drive and pitch it into a roaring fire. Even formatting won't do you any good. Formatting does not erase. It only hides stuff which can be retrieved with the right tools and know how.

In your web browser like Internet Explorer ... you click Tools ... scroll down to Internet Options ... Then Click Browsing History ... And Delete.
That'll delete everything you've googled or browsed using the web.

Simply, on the search input (where you type what you are looking) double click, and all the topics or words u have been loooking for will drop down, just roll over with the mouse on the one you want to delete and press "delete" key...

You don't have to reformat your entire hard drive, but that is a tricky one...
This trick isn't foolproof, for some reasons, it doesn't work on XP all the time..But if you go to your internet options (Tools->Internet Options) you can clear all you history, and cookies. Then, shut down your broswer, and open it up to google. :) Hope it helps!

1. tools - clear history
2. clear all http entries from the registry
3. remove all cookie files
This will remove your history from 90% of all people - If someone wants it bad enough, a format wont even save you.
