As a mother and wife I can honestly say I spend very little time thinking about other couples and what they are doing in bed.
Isn't it preverted to focus so much time on how other people are having sex?
Doesn't it speak to a real abundance of time on ones hands?

If a couple of heteros get tax credits why can't any couple get them?
Nobody is asking for special tax credits for homosexuals like, the homo credit but in your world view they are asking for hetero credit. That is not fair.

or dww, I like to talk about politics and really don't see why there are so many questions about homosexuals in the politics section. Yes this is one too, I know, but I put the gay question in the area where I found the most gay questions

Yeah your right paloma, most people are not worried about what other people are doing in that way. Besides it is way more fun to think about the sex I'm having than others. It just struck me, I wanted to read about questions about the current elections and a bunch of questions were about homosexuals. I was just curious, What does that have to do with politics, I know like its a distraction method and a way to get the right wing vote, I'm just not sure why?

No. It speaks to the fallacy of the assumption that we are not animals.
We spend a hugely inordinate amount of time and energy pursuing sexual activity. We're as driven by it as any other animal. We may like to spin stories about the nobilities of our loves and lusts, but at the end of the day, it's the same instinct that inspires rabbits. Or salmon. Or any of the many creatures which mate for life, or unto death.
Any social creation such as law, religion, or tradition which purports to moderate or control behavior is only as evolved as its creators. Our preoccupation with things sexual reflects our nature.

I think society in general is too preoccupied with sex. The porn industry is insanely wealthier than it has ever been. Sex is everywhere. However, I don't think people are that concerned about what their neighbors are doing or what their boss is doing; most people probably don't care what others are doing in their bedrooms. Don't know where you going with this, but maybe it's just you with too much time on your hands, because obviously you were thinking about what others are doing in their bedrooms when you wrote this question.

People are nosy by nature. But I do not think that so many people are really preoccupied with the sexuality of others, unless they are some kind of religious extremists. I mean those who have toll-free line to Heaven and talk to God directly.

I thinbk it shows their insecurity and ignorance. Why be a homophobic....I do not like men so I will never have sex with one....I don't care what other people do as long as it is consensual..they are no threat to me. It is hard enough to find someone to lo9ve in this world why make it more difficult for others by forcing them to follow your views and your religion.

I don't think people should think about what other couples are doing. It seems that the ones who do think about what others are doing, are missing something out of thier own sex life & are dreaming of what they think they are missing out on. Everyone does something different & at thier own pace. If you are always worried about what others are doing, you may miss out on the fun you could be having!

You contradicted yourself. If it isn't on your mind than why bring it up? Now that you have, it appears you may have a problem in this area. I would suggest counseling with you and your partner. Perhaps through this you will learn to not be so preoccupied with the preoccupations of others. Those who focus on a perceived problem in others are generally engulfed with the same problem.

They can do whatever they want in bed. When they start demanding tax credits and insurance policies for whatever they want to have orgasms with, it then becomes public and subject to criticism. Moms and wives should know the difference.

I don't hang around and think about it, but when someone flaunts their sexuality in my face, I will certainly give my opinion on it. If they keep it in bed that's fine.
