Yeah, but the people on welfare and illegal immigrants will not need to worry, since they do not pay taxes, only collect from the taxes of the hard-working people.

The only taxes that the Dems plan to raise are taxes for those people who make over $200K annually. If you make $65K annually you are probably making a pretty good living and will continue to do so. If you have a partner that makes a comparable income then even if filing jointly you are still under the Dems tax plan.
The oil and gas companies should pay higher taxes. They make a lot more money! Money that is not being put back into the economy.

If you make over a quarter of a million dollars a year, they will take back some of the huge tax break that Bush & his rubber-stamp congress gave you. That's not raising taxes, it's just restoring them to a previous level, probably not even as high as they were before.
Why do the wealthy think they should be taxed as though they were poor?
How's about we Americans contribute to our nation and its security based on our ability to pay, not on who's party is in office?
PHIL... You wrote: "That means I paid about $1,500,000 in taxes on $3,500,000 profits. No wonder I can not expand." You mean you ONLY made $2,000,000 last year? I'm so sorry for you! Maybe you should go on welfare? Oh, that's right, under Bush you already did!

Most answers to this question are pathetic, and most questions along this line are also. To understand the meaning of taxes, you'd have to understand taxes, direct taxes, indirect taxes, and hidden taxes, as well as present value, and future value of money. Instead, 99% of you are played like fiddles with the idea that "all taxes are bad" - and you don't give a d---- about such things as deficits, national debt, or delayed days of reckoning. No. You just want your simple minded answers spoon fed to you by a bunch of charlatans that pretend that they can continue the path they are on with no consequences. Cut taxes, Keep spending. More pork barrel expenditures. Welcome to the self-indulgent, immediate-gratification society that is US of A. You want a true answer. Taxes HAVE TO go up - to compensate for the profilgate years of the republican excess. The ONLY question is, how is the taxation burden to be distributed.

Obama is a guy who's pushed via a socialist time table, and could pay no interest to what the yankee people prefer. different democrats like Clinton a minimum of have been ballot pushed as he signed the republican charges on Welfare, or maybe a soft tax cut back. this could purely mean greater financial woes good around the nook once you think approximately Cap and commerce. If you actually work for your money and is fortunate enough to be successful. you will be taxes harder. Rob the rich give to the poor. I'm actually poor but i earn my own way i think it bullsh!t that i have to pay taxes while others spend it. Like welfare whores and Mexicans. I understand the whole concept of helping a person when there down on there luck but damn we shouldn't have to take care of them and there kids while they do nothing. Dem's seem to think its OK. Be prepared to pay more in two years.

Yes, with higher taxes, more social spending, more pork barrel projects, increasing the minimum wage and national health-care.
To whomever is in congress and any other entity that enacts taxes CUT SPENDING and stop giving tax breaks to get votes whether it be to old, poor, rich or businesses.
Why should we punish people for succeeding with higher taxes?

The Dems never saw a tax they did not like. When was the last time the Dems gave the upper middle class a tax break. ( what is upper middle class) GW did. I was one of them that got a tax break to use to better my company. The Dems were taxing me to death. My combined tax was with State business profits tax, Local property tax& Federal income tax 49%. That means I paid about $1,500,000 in taxes on $3,500,000 profits. No wonder I can not expand.

The Democrats have a long history of raising taxes on the middle class. Anyone who says different is not speaking from the facts.
