I have a bigger waist but small legs and now that its cooler out i have been trying to find a pair of jeans that fit me correctly. Everything I try on has the same problem: if it fits in the waist the legs are way too big. If they fit nice in the legs, the waist is too small. I tried Lane Bryant and have the same problem. Any recommendations other than getting jeans made for me specifically? Any brands, certain fits or stores I should try? Thanks!!!!

A little extra info: I have no ***...lol. Just a large tummy. And my thighs are not that big so my pants always look funny. If they fit nicely around the legs, my stomach spills out of the top..... If the waistline is good then it looks like i am wearing parachute pants. lol.... I dont mind spending money either. I think any amount (under 100) is fine if the pants fit me correctly.

Unfortunately even if you find one that fits in your size it might be tighter/looser ect. the next time. Why don't you go with the ones that fit you in the waist and cut and hem the bottoms. If you don't know how to sew I don't think it costs that much to have it done at a seamstress. Also there are places online that you can order jeans MADE TO ORDER. The last time I looked they were not much more than regular jean prices. Lands End was one of them. Just search for made to order jeans and alot more pop up. Good Luck.

In some situations like Yoga class it probably can't really be helped. In that case it's not slutty at all. But I see some women walking around with it really bad in very inappropriate places. I mean, really, women pay way too much attention to mirrors not to notice that they have meat curtain syndrome. Most of them just refuse to wear clothes that actually fit. And when they DO know this is showing badly....then that would make them a little trashy looking. Even if they are not. This is the same thing as all the trashy women who like to walk around with their fake jugs pointing straight out with their permanent hard nipps poking through their shirt. They know what they are doing. And it is trashy looking. So if the kettle is black, call it black.

Buy whatever jeans fit your waist and then take them to a tailor to have the legs sewn to perfection.
It's truly the only way to get the exact look you are looking for.

Gap jeans, not old navy
Eddie Bauer
To flatter your shape stick to boot cut, no skinny jeans or flare.
Get a jean that sits right below the waist also

Try Banana Republic. You can order on-line and chose the inseam, short, medium, long... Also they alter pants in their stores for free if you had bought them there, but I would double check about jeans since they are a bit different than regular pants.
Here's the web site: http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse/category.do?cid=5030
Also check LEI jeans in department stores, usually in the juniors section.

The one I can think off the top of my head is Victoria's Secret. My sister has the same problem, but when she orders off VS, you can chose the measurements for the entire legs. It is spendy, but if you are looking for the perfect fit, that's the one.

IF you have EXTRA money, try Landsend. I just bought a pair of custom jeans and they fit me perfectly. I paid $80.00.
