Media Sloganeering or Catch phrases come out of ext/pensive demographic /focus group research. One of the best was the 4 words 'Its the Economy Stupid' which fit not only onto a bumper stickers but the sound byte as well. Political signs and BStickers remind passersby about Names, Party or Election dates. But not much more.

No. A political sign or bumper sticker only serves to draw attention to one self. In addition, if the sign or bumper sticker is in support of someone or something that is widely unpopular such as W'04 then you draw attention to yourself as being a complete moron.

I agree. Signs and bumper stickers dont win a vote. It is what is inside you is what helps you win a vote. Sure they help advertise but they dont win an election.

Seams like it to me too. Never made a decision based upon a bumper sticker. I guess it's for name recognition.

They provide reassurance that a person belongs to a group. The need to belong is a very powerful human impulse, so knowing that you are not the only fruitcake voting Republican makes you more confident in your utterly irrational decision.

No. just a waste. People these days don't give much attention to those kind of things. They need something catchy. Those things aren't catchy.

It shows that the owner has been brainwashed. some people follow politics like others follow christ.

do not confront them, they are unstable. better to walk away
