Just as Bush had planned and foretold us of on a number of occasions,
Iraq
was to be made "ground zero" for the war on terrorism -- and just as Bush
said
they would, terrorist cells from all over the region are alighting the
shadows
of their hiding places and flooding into Iraq in order to get their faces
blown off by US Marines rather than boarding planes and heading to the
United
States to wage war on us here.
Moreover, bear in mind that all of the above occurred in the face of the
1999 tech crash, the epidemic of corporate scandals throughout the 90's,
and the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks on NYC years in the planning which
collectively sucked 24 trillions dollars and 7.8 million jobs out of the
US
economy even
before G. W. Bush had time to unpack his suitcases in the White House.

Most of those facts are incorrect.
Oil prices up until two months ago were the highest since the mid 1980s (relative to the dollar value). The price drop pre-election has already started to reverse, by +10cents in the past two days.
Sure, taxes are lower. But deficit spending has been at an all-time high, and the federal national debt has more than doubled in the past 6 years alone. In other words, we're gotten more in debt since Bush took office than in the past century before that.
Inflation is maintaining roughly the same rate as the past 15 years.
Yes, home values are double what they were five years ago. Which means that half as many people can afford to buy a house.
Foreign terrorist attacks on US soil occur on average every 7-9 years. So, the current regime doesn't get any credit for not blowing that by having one occur sooner.

The stock markets are only one economic indicator, and wars tend to boost productivity. Without the war the economy wouldn't be flat, as it is now, it would be in full on recession.
When you fudge the unemployment numbers.
Oil prices are plumeting slowly from an all time high, and are still signifficantly higher than in 2000.
What happened to the Federal Budget Surplus, that was gone before 9/11?
The housing bubbleis busting, and forclosures are at an all time high.
I guess domestic terrorism doesn't count in dreamworld.
Osama bin Laden is still at large, the team formed to hunt him was disbanded this past July 4th.
After the invasion of Iraq, terrorist numbers have swelled dramaticly.
Clinton stopped a bunch too.

I would need to see proof of this email. I could very easily say that more people were gettin g laid under Carters presidentcy. Also the stock market has gone up as a result of worker insecurity (the whitehouse's words not mine)
The employment stats are thrown off because 25 years ago many houses had 1 income and now only the very wealthy can afford to. Some people need 3 jobs to make ends meet.

A lot of them are funny, but my favorite is "Not a single terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11/01"
Uh.. what about since 9/10/01?????
I guess the email writer would also say:
Nixon didnt have any scandals marring his presidency ...since watergate.
Mark Foley hasnt had any scandals either ...since gettin caught sending gay emails to minors.
The Bush Administration hasnt had any scandals regarding the "outing" of CIA operatives ....since the Valerie Plame scandal
Heck, the Japanese did not sneak attack us in the 1940's ..since Pearl Harbor.
Etc. LOL

The economy is great if you're wealthy, many seniors cannot
afford their meds after paying bills, many Americans are
working 2 jobs, just to pay rent & support their cars, 43 million
Americans are without health insurance.
Over 2000 of our soldiers have been killed, while BinLaden
is still alive & a civil war is waging in the Middle East.
The outcome of the stock market is great for the wealthy,
but has little effect on the lives of Americans who are struggling.
Unemployment can be collected for only 6 months, after that,
you are not counted for anything.
This is the real world of the middle class, who are slowly
falling into poverty, while working their butts off.

In response to your last comment - 9/11 happened before Bush even had a chance to unpack his suitcase....
8 months! 8 months he was in office. He never mentioned terror once in those 8 months. In fact, he was more concerned with starting a new arms race and weaponizing space.
In that 8 months, he ignored terrorist threat assessments by Richard Clarke, who was demoted for suggesting that Al Queda posed a threat in the months leading to 9/11. He also ignored threats by German, Israeli, and British intelligence. The fact is undeniable and irrefutable. But there was even more of a warning.
The only suitcase I can think of that remained unpacked was the one he took to Crawford, TX in summer of 2001. On August 6, 2001 he received the PDB from the CIA that was titled "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN THE US."
Gee... had Bush actually taken that threat seriously, perhaps the FBI or the FAA or the local law enforcement agencies in my hometown would have had a better idea what was really going on only a month later when the first plane struck WTC. Too bad the folks flying that day didn't have the same intelligence that the president did. Perhaps they would have been a bit more cautious that day.
And in spite of the memo titled "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN THE US," Bush said he saw the first plane strike and thought to himself, "wow, that's one bad pilot." It's a fact. Look it up.
The people I worked with here in NY saw that image of the gaping burning hole, and thought terrorism right away, and we didn't even have knowledge that there was a memo on August 6, 2001 which read, "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN THE US."
And despite that memo, despite the blatant aim that the plane had in hitting the first tower on that crisp, clear day, Bush went into a school to read with some kids. The second plane hit, pretty much confirming the August 6, 2001 memo which read, "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN US." Did he ever think that he might be a target? Wouldn't that make the kids a target? Why wasn't he whisked away like Cheney?
Yet while all of us were frenzied in New York, your beloved president, infallible and almighty, incapable of any wrongdoing, sat there. He sat there and read a book about goats for 7 minutes. Then he took pictures afterwards. Your commander in chief, and leader of the free world... took no action.
But defend him.
This is just a smidgeon of his gross incompetence which you staunchly stand by in spite of the obvious vote cast against him and his policies just the other day, in spite of the many conservatives who have expressed their disappointment in Bush.
Your weakness and your flaw is your allegiance to a horrible and shameless president. What's even more pathetic than the president are those like you who still stick up for his pathetic and destructive policies, which are anything but conservative.
Otherwise, revisionist history can be fun, espceially if you have your facts wrong.

Oh sure! it is a classic farce! Liberals are going fishing in a container packed with paper. not a single attack since the one on Bush's watch? that's not much of a boast.
the idea that terrorists are flocking to iraq is a bit disingenuous. while some mujahadein are traveeling to fight, many more terrorists are being created by US foreign policy in countries all around the world (Indonesia, spain, uk all suffered at the hands of their own). 14 US agencies agree the war is the greatest recruiting sergeant for terrorists. Bush's policies have made OBL a bigger hero than he ever was.

Try "we are 47 trillion dollars in debt". Works every time.
Bush knew about 9-11.
The US backed and invented Al-Queda.
The Brithish flight scare was complete nonsense. A ten year old plot that was not in action, no explosives were found, none of the suspects have been charged, and none of them had airline tickets or passports. Look up "FALSE FLAG OPERATION"
