Actually, most of the Democracts that were elected did so under a conservative platform. Very few liberals actually got elected, and most of those were liberal Republicans.

Look at the individual candidates. Don't just assume all Democrats are liberals, or all Republicans are conservative.

But to answer your question, if liberals were actually making the decisions, it would likely mean that they would base their strategies on an analysis of the current situation, and figure out what needs to be done based on current facts on the ground.

Overall, the Iraqi insurgency would probable continue to be about as effective as they have been for the past few years. The only difference is that fewer Americans would die in the process.

I just don't see it as a liberal victory. The candidates that won were mainly in the center on most issues.

You have a good point. The policy we have is not working. Do we continue with a policy that doesn't work? We stayed the course.... longer than WW2. Iraq is not our country. The fight is between ethic groups in Iraq. Our fight is suppose to be global terrorism... countries that harbor terrorists. Why don't we get Osama?
