Are the Dems going to be any better at following the Constitution than the Republicans?

This is THE question of the year!! I think that every American(except for the looney liberals) will regret their vote. With Bush as a lame duck, the answer is NOTHING! AS USUAL! OH! Maybe appease No. Korea (like billy did)? Maybe give citizens rights to the terrorists in Guantanimo Bay? Maybecut-and-run from Iraq and bring home al Qaeda with them? I could go on but I'm so sick of liberal after this election.

They may be nominally better but remember how for the past two years or more you've all been castigating the Dems for following in lockstep with Bush by voting FOR the war, FOR the Patriot Act, sitting by with nary a whimper while all of your civil liberties were targetted, your repro rights, the environment, etc.
Everyone was grousing about how we need a new party, how the Dems were just another hue of Reps, etc.

Now that the Dems are in, do you really think things will change that much? They had how many years to define themselves as an opposition party and they didn't, and then pretty much left individual Americans to fend for themselves and form an anti-war movement.

Keep in mind, they are ultimately tied in to the same corporate interests and monies that the Reps are . . . awaiting some dramatic alteration of the present course will only leave you a rather startling shade of blue in the face I'm afraid.

Hopefully, they'll do more for the average citizen and less for Republicans' billionaire benefactors.

Yes, the Dems are better at following the Constitution than the Republicans. They also are a heck of a lot more peaceful and care about domestic policy instead of conquoring the world.

I want my pre-Bush freedoms back!

Hell yes they will follow the Cons. better!!! As long as they dont try pushing a far left agenda the change will be great for the country...they need to stay out of the hotbutton social issues and work on real problems.

There will be more better education, better invironment, pay raise hike that we have not had in nearly a decade. I can see alot of better things coming for the people of the United States and hopefully the war will end sooner!

We'll be able to find out the truth of 9-11 and impeach Bush, we have a very slight chance of being able to save the planet. I think its too late and so do many experts, such as James Lovelock, if you care.

Proabably not. They have no plan as of now for Iraq, taxes will go up and with that our economy will drop, minimum wage could be raised (Why increase it now when he have a high employemnt rate and a bolstering economy?), and the president can veto any bills he disagrees with and it will probably die in the senate. All this does is cripple the republicans.

I am very confident we won't go waging wars based on a big lie. The top 1% are finally going to start paying the taxes they deserve to pay. And the war on the middle class is finally coming to an end.
