Although we all have brains, some people do not like to use theirs. Whereas some people practically live inside theirs.
Common sense is slowly replacing imagination.

Umm -- you couldn't figure that out without asking us?

Yes it's annoying, but it's more than lack of common sense, mostly laziness, some ignorance and a little stupidity. And too many video games and trash TV.

PS Yeah the Myers-Briggs thing too...but c'mon just because you're an extrovert doesn't mean you shouldn't try to figure some simple thing out for yourself or cheat on your homework.

Some people think in their heads, other people think better by speaking out loud (I'm one of the latter). For those who think better by speaking out loud, it can actually be quite difficult to draw conclusions in their heads....but by talking through the problem they can solve it easily. This kind of person may often ask silly questions, or say things and quickly retract them, because they are not really asking those questions, they are just helping their brain formulate an answer.

If you are a fan of the Myer-Briggs personality types, the person who thinks out loud is an "extravert" and the person who thinks in their head is an "introvert" (the Myer-Briggs definitions of intro- and extravert have nothing to do with how loud or outgoing a person is, they relate to the way a person thinks; thus you can theoretically have a very shy or quiet extravert or a loud and obnoxious introvert).
