Not any liberals I've spoken to.

Most draw the line at the types of actions that have been condemed by international law for the past few decades.

But no more worries. Under current US law (the Military Commissions Act), the executive branch has sole authority to determine what constitutes torture, and to interpret the Geneva Convention. That's right boys and girls, the courts no longer have the authority to interpret law -- just the executive branch.

Coragryph is absolutely right.
It's my sincere hope that one of the first things the democrats do in January is overturn that ridiculous, unconstitutional law. What really gets me is that conservatives claim that breaking international law, and allowing the executive branch to interpret law (which is unconstitutional) are OK, 'cause it's just terrorists. But guess what -- there's nothing in that bill that says the president can only decide what torture is for terrorists, he gets to decide for anybody and everybody. Even you. Even law-abiding US citizens. And you don't see a problem with that?

Actually, that could be a form of torture. If Yahoo didn't let you ask all these random and pointless questions...would you find that torturous? One can only hope. Are you still thanking your lame duck president? Losing Rummy is the best service he's done for our country since he took office.

No. It would be interesting to see what some white Americans would do if they were electrocuted, attacked by dogs, water boarded, made to stand for days, or stay awake for days. Innocent people, some of whom die in the process! If it were happening to someone you know........?!!!

Yes, it's truly one of their favorite forms of "torture". Maybe they'll answer some questions if we give them Diet Coke? It's certainly easier than tracking their phone calls which the libs think should be illegal ... heaven forbid we should deny "rights" to people who want to kill us !!!!!
