That's the funniest thing I heard today ... how can you get more "severe" than death !?!?!?!?!?

What is severe. Death is death, no matter how painful or long it takes. Some people deserve to die, that is certain, but I do not see the difference in how it happens. Torture can be described in so many ways so the issue of humane versus inhumane death is different for everyone therefore your question cannot definitely be answered by anyone.

how much more severe can death be? There is only one constant with death - no matter how you get that way, you are still dead.

As far as the death penalty. I believe in it for heinous crimes such as certain murders, multiple rapes, serial child molesters. We do need checks and balances such as mandatory DNA evidence, video tapped and witnessed confessions (no video, no confession. I believe this not only keeps the police honest, but it also protects them against unsubstantiated brutality claims).

I don't care how it is administered. Again, whether you are gassed, electrified, injected, shot, hung, or beheaded, the result is the same.

more severe than the death penalty? i believe in the death penalty theres no good reason to keep someone alive that has three consecutive life sentences they need to be killed maybe we could rehabilitate some prisoners if they dident have to deal with lifers in prison the extra money could be spent to give some prisoners real skill so when they got out the could have a real chance to fit in with society

No, Sir. I do not believe that the death penalty should be our measure of punishing someone for a crime. I consider the death penalty to be "cruel and unusual punishment" which is a provision in our constitution, I believe to be a violation of.

How can you get more severe than death?

Thats like saying seriously killed. Of course it's serious, he died!

Of course it's severe punishment, it's death.

And I agree with the death penalty, but truth is truth.

I hate that it isn't too severe. The government is killing them so why make it easy for those criminals? Before they had a firing squad, gas chamber, and hanging. Today it's lethal injection and that is an easy death. Child rapists, terrorists, and serial murderers should suffer their death.

Death penalty is fine as long as there is no chance of killing an innocent person.

I think if it was MORE severe maybe it WOULD help be a deterrent.....
I don't believe the death penalty should be humane. I think it should be cruel & painful.....Let the punishment fit the crime!!!!!

Yes, but only for something like a serial killer. One who has no remorse and will kill for whatever sick twisted reason and cannot ever be rehabilitated. These murderers made their victims suffer, so its only fair if they suffer in their final moments as well.

And I just wanted to add this in as well. For serial rapists and paedophiles, they should be castrated. Rapists should have either their balls cut off or be chemically castrated. For those that do this to children, they should have something done so they can no longer "get it up", as well as the castration. If they can get it up, they can molest another child.

How can killing some one not be severe?

I don't believe in the death penalty.

But I will say if a person has a weapon in their hands & is using it against another person it is open season on that person.

Say in a shoot out a person is shooting at the police, if that person don't put down the weapon that person is fair game to shoot. at, & not to miss.
