My perception is that people like myself with extremely high IQ's don't have enough people to beat to truely shine above people with the same abilities. IQ can be used as a paver of the path of life. Using it to your advantage to get into good schools can give you tools to be successful. IQ can be a tool for success, but a tell tale measure of success, I think not.

Hi,

Actually your IQ only reflects your analytical and logic skills, but sincerely it only reflects about half of your personal success in life. Also your emotional intelligence has to do allot with how you are successful in life so do take that in mind.

IQ correlates with what is termed " successful life outcomes ", on average. Think; those of greater intelligence are better problem solvers, on average. There are always the tails in any normal curve, though.

The guy with the highest IQ in the US works as a bouncer in New Jersey. He dropped out of school. Most people with high IQ's rarely do well in school just floating at or below average. They also have trouble relating with others, for these reasons I vote no.

There's only a loose, but nonzero, correlation between one's IQ and one's success in life. Smarter people do manage better.

No it doesn't. I have an IQ of 96 and I'm a successful career woman. I make very good money. So no, it isn't a measure of one's success.

sure, i think of so.... I surely have considered it way too lots. people who did no longer extremely end college even, or have a decrease IQ, are extra effectual than their extra knowledgeable opposite numbers. particularly by way of fact they're extra 'people persons' and stipulations have helped them very much. of direction, it is not any longer the guideline, yet they do play a considerable section in it.

Mine personally, yes (not necessarily financially, but to me, money doesn't factor in to success).

I don't think this is necessarily the case at all, however. A low or high IQ doesn't guarantee, or prohibit, success in any way.

But again, it all depends on how you measure success.
