What would you do? I'm curious what responses I will get here because I had this same discussion a few days ago with a good friend and their reply not only shocked me but angered and saddened me as well. His reply was " It would be none of my business."

it depends if it was one person doing it or more. if it was only one i would call 911 and then try to help. if it was more i would call 911 and start honking my horn. hopefully it would draw attention to the problem, and it might scare them away.
if it was possible without injuring the victim i would probably try to hit them with my car.

It would be pretty hard to stumble upon a rape. I carry a big knife, and I had a job butchering animals when I was young, the girl would never have to testify.
I think it is wrong that our society allows proven violent criminals to live among the rest of us. The horrible things you read about are almost always done by guys who have done the same kind of stuff before. I know a guy personally who has been in and out of jail for the last 40 years, each time he comes out he ruins another innocent life.

Legally, this is a mess. How do you know it is a rape? He could be her boyfriend, and they are having a disagreement. I've heard stranger things in court. OK, so you're sure it's a rape, How do you stop it? Believe it or not, you can be arrested for shooting a rapist.
Call 911 first, it never hurts to have the good guys on your side. If you do shoot him, call an ambulance, it will look good in court.

Call 911 on my cell and honk my horn to draw attention to others around ,possibly find a large man not afraid and willing to hold the rapist down till the police arrived so the women could feel at peace knowing he did not get away with this

I'd whip out my cell and dial 911. And scream, as loud as I could. Maybe even beep my horn and drive close to where it is happening to scare the raper.
