1.)Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.
2.)Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can’t legally get married because the world needs more children.
3.)Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
4.)Straight marriage will be less meaningful, since Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.
5.)Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are property, blacks can’t marry whites, and divorce is illegal.
6.)Gay marriage should be decided by people not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.

7.)Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.
8.)Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
9.)Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
10.)Children can never suceed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why single parents are forbidden to raise children.
11.)Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven’t adapted to cars or longer lifespans.

12.)Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a “seperate but equal” institution is always constitutional. Seperate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as seperate marriages for gays and lesbians will.

I'm guessing no matter what someone says it won't matter to you. If I were to run down your point I would say that none of them are accurate. Some may contain half-truths, which is what many proponents do; just like the media. Anyway, it's not as much as opposing gay marriage as it is the states created legal marriage. What you do in your faith or spiritual realm is up to you. It has been found to be a legitimate reason for states to want the existence of their society to continue, and this can only happen if couples can procreate. Yes, not ever married couple does so, and some can't, but that's no reason for making the argument void. Additionally, the sexes, male and female are inately different and can provide different things to children (understood that all can do this irrelevant of sexual orientation), but it has been determined it is a rational reason that the states would want the influence of a man and woman in the home. I'm not saying it is correct, and I understand that same sex couples can be as successful as opposite sex, but the fact is rationally the states can come to this conclusion and they don't need factual reasons for doing so (legally) because marriage is NOT a fundamental right (although many courts are trying to make it one). This is what it comes down to. Marriage has never been a fundamental right, but a state sponsored event created as a structure to what they feel can rationally be successful to making their society better. Again, I have no problem with gay marriage, but legally, I really isn't the courts place to change this, but the peoples.

Marriage is in holding with dedication. What makes the dedication solid is little ones. How are little ones born clearly? even as a guy and a lady conceive. So if 2 companions of an similar sex can't conceive their personal toddler clearly, then that is going adverse to the nature. imagine, if anybody grew to grow to be gay. might want to there be a existence? women people might want to be battling to avert being pregnant. adult adult males might want to be battling to avert household projects. yada yada yada! So what isn't organic benefits legal responsibility for the sake of humanity, yet not observe of.

The fact is, marriage as we know it didn't exist until Jesus preached it. Look at the Patriarchs of the Old Testament - they had WIVES and "concubines" (mistresses). Wives were considered property. In modern times, some countries still practice arranged marriages - the parents choose who you will marry. Only a small percentage of the population inhabiting planet earth practice "marriage" as we know it. The US and UK are in the minority in this practice.

1. the people didn't vote for it, we don't want gay marriage
2. activist judges are forcing this thing on people
3. all of mankind past would have mocked the notion of gay marriage
4. If our founding fathers saw this coming, they would have added a clause to the constitution saying: and if gays want to marry, immediately hang them on trees and do not bury the bodies. Believe me, our foundation would have killed the notion had they known.
5. People with morals know that it is wrong. Thing is, today's person has no morals. Anything goes.
Again, only in today's generation could something like this even be taken seriously. There is no more moral fiber.

I think all gays should be offended because you just compared gay people to eye glasses and polyester.
Marriage is an institution that has been around for ages. So your asking that we make a special exception for same sex couples. What about the polygimist? Why can't they have 4 wives, but two males who can't reproduce and continue the process of civilization.

This reminds me of the feminazi fight for 'equality.' Fighting so hard for something that you want because you can't have it. Then when you get it, you find out it isn't all it's cracked up to be. The grass is greener on the other side of the fence. I really don't understand why gay people want to get married. I thought the impossibility of marriage was one of the selling points. I even thought about converting.

1) Normal people (natural) use those items. So since the majority of the population uses these items you are implying that most of our population is homosexual?
2) You missed the point.
3)Seems like the sissy males turn out being gay...
4) I've never cared what celebrities have done especially while drunk.
5) That's following the bible and I'm proud to be a Christian.
6) The elected ones speak for the people. Obviously the smart ones always prevail and this will never be legalized.

I support gay marriage
"Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can’t legally get married because the world needs more children."? That's not true. Heterosexual parents have kids who turn out to be gay all the time.
Women aren't property, interacial marriage are not wrong.

I voted against the marriage amendment here in TN that would ban gay marriage. It still passed. Its not that I really want gays to get married, I just don't not want them to get married. Doesn't change my life either way, so I just don't care. Call it selfish, that's ok. I just want to drink beer in peace
