I would revamp the entire high school system, and require sophomores to read "How To Win Friends and Influence People", and require Juniors to study basic Economics, and Seniors to read Bastiat's "The Law", and in all three years students would have to take courses in Logic.

Change or tighten up existing laws and make all penal sentences maximum with no minimum, no plea bargains. I would find a deserted island in the middle of the biggest ocean and dump all hardened criminals there. Let them provide for themselves, leave them alone and maybe, just maybe, they wind up killing each other till the last one.

Fair tax would be one. Private education of our kids .Not so restrictive gun laws.
