Pantera playing a small club that holds less than 300 on the cowboys from hell tour, then a slightly larger venue prior to the Vulgar release and the video tapeing for the song walk. When far beyond driven came out all the wanna bes jumped on the bandwagon and it moved into arenas and you knew who the wanna bes were cause they were the ones acting like idiots in the pit.It kinda ruin things, instant aholes just add alcohol.

What precisely constitutes no longer being mainstream? i've got seen a pair of bands pass extensive, yet i did no longer quite like them over something. i'm questioning of the Goo Goo Dolls who had a following in Buffalo, long island. That grew to become into cool to be sure them get as huge as they did. I observed Oasis on their first excursion to North u . s . of america. They performed merely a sprint interior sight venue. next time they got here returned they have been huge. I used to love journey lots previously every person in North u . s . of america somewhat knew who they have been. possibly it is not mainstream adequate nevertheless.

Yes lots of times and i don't get mad when they get popular unless they had to change their sound to do it. Sometimes all it takes is a song written on a lark or an innovative video to attract a new crowd or a mention in a blog or interview from some popular artist that introduces them to a larger audience.

Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco.
Especially Panic! It's a little depressing, yes, BUT I do feel happy for the bands.
But I still wish I had them all to myself..

Nirvana. Next thing I knew (when I was in high school) all the preppies were wearing flannel jackets and such. It was sickening. It almost ruined it for me...but I've always remained a huge Nirvana fan.

I saw the Beattles in Munich Germany in 1962, before they were famous. I liked them then and still do 44 years later!

AFI and Blue October. I liked them before they really became mainstream and it kinda sucks. I hate hearing little teeny boppers singing their songs because they don't get it.

Yeah, and I hate it. They start out as nobodies, have one hit, and then turn crap. It's happened to alot of groups that I used to like.
