Well, bought a phone recently from there. However after buying the first one. it happened to be faulty. Went to return it for an exchange but having doubt whether it is faulty as well. Do you guys think that this famous dealer would do such a thing. I mean replace a faulty one with another faulty one? Thanks

If the phone you purchased is faulty, you have two options. In-store they can deal with it or phone up for an exchange handset. Things happen and its not uncommon for several handsets to have a fault. I had a similar situation some years ago with a Motorola, which turned out to be a faulty batch of handsets.
I have had many dealings with the ladies and gents of CPW. Most are good people, although some have much better training and knowledge than others. The only fault I can find in the company is that the on-line and telesales staff have access to phones before they become available in-store and some phone models such as Nokia E61 are never available to view in-store. I had to go looking and telephoning around to find one on Demo' in a "3" shop in the end. Well worth the hunt though.

Under retail law the goods supplied have to be fit for purpose at the time supplied and continually throughout the period of acceptance, so the short answer is no. I suspect that both you and Carphone Warehouse have fallen victim to a faulty batch. Take it back to the shop and explain that you think it's faulty. if they've still got the old phone ask if the batch numbers are the same. If you get a new phone, ask them to test it in the shop.
