I think Ireland would be OK if you did not go

Your going to have to take a plane. I went to Ireland in September 06, and I took an 18 hour ferry ride from Ireland to France and it was horrible. The Ferry (the Normandy) was so huge, and it still rocked majorly the whole time. I could hear people throwing up for hours. And you couldn't really do anything on the ferry even though there were a few bars, a casino, movie theater, shops, etc., because you had to spend your whole time trying not to get sick. But once your in Ireland it's awsome. Just make sure to bring rain gear. In 7 days I only saw the sun for about 1 hour. The rest of the time it rained. And also be prepared for the horrible food, And great beer.

Here's what you can do....

take a plane from New York or Miami to Paris and spent a few days there. Then go to the north of France by Train and then take the train that goes through the English Channel and then spent a few days in London. Then rake a train to the destination of the ferry that will cross you over to Ireland :)

if you don't want to go to France, then just fly to London, take a train to the ferry, and cross over.
