OK, I have been bored too often now- what do you do to defeat boredom?

Give me some stuff that I can actually do, you know, nothing like "go write a novel" or something. Please help me end boredom!

Go and play some interactive trivia at chatzone.de. It is a lot of fun and very addicting and you get to meet some nice people there too. It is like a regular chatroom but it has a triviabot running 24/7 that asks a question every fifteen seconds or so. The questions cover, music, history, geography, sports and movies etc. You have to try and answer the question as fast as you can before anyone else in order to get the point. You score 1 point for each question you answer and the scores are reset roughly once a week. Try it you might like it. I have played there for about two years and love it and it always dispels attacks of boredom. Plus in a short while you become a regular and you get to know people. There is also some interesting and sometimes funny chat in between the questions. Of course just like in any chat you run into an objectionable person every once in while and in that case just ignore them. But, for the most part the people there are decent people. It is free and there are no gimmicks. You are not required to register to play, though you can register in order to protect your nickname that you choose to use. Rest assured you have company and you are not alone in this overwhelming boredom. In the Grecian times when almost everything was being done by the slaves the Greeks were a similarly bored lot.To while away their boredom they used to engage themselves into empty philosophical discussions and thought they have raised themselves to histrionic heights of thoughts. Perhaps the ancients had no social problems ,no poverty syndromes etc.to which they could devote themselves for positiive solutions. Most of the philosohical discussions are on abstract matters. Fortunately or unfortunately we have a plethora of problems with us. Even if we were to deovte to one of them we would not be ablde to even scratch its surface even if we spend our entire life in the attempt. But this gives us a good, positive way to keep away boredome .Select some problem and devote yourself to it and you will soon find that the 24 hours of the day are just too short for the work.

Ok, this is MY plan...clean out my closets/dressers for the winter season. Take unwanted items to goodwill drop off. Get started on my "mini" house cleaning for the holidays. By then it'll be time to decorate....wa-la! Hope that helps!

go out to a club and get on the dance floor and dance all night get really sweaty drink a lot of drinks, get some phone numbers take a cab home and sleep for a long time
