Not if liberals take power. I'm not trying to start a big controversy, but libs just don't want to fight. No one really wants to fight, but the terrorists brought it to us. Now we need to deal with it. If we don't fight them and try to root out this evil then they will bring it back to us again. Bigger and worse. The terrorists have already said that the next attack will make 9/11 look like child's play. These people don't threaten, they promise and they deliver. Osama promised us that he would take the towers down. He tried in 1993, then he came back in 2001. These same people are promising a nuke will be detonated. Should we believe them? Yes. And we should fight with everything we have. This is a battle for our survival, and some people are too afraid to deal with it. History will show who was right and who was wrong. Let's just hope we can look back at history that is.

USA has declared a "War on Terror". The direction and explanation of the war is very vague so let me provide a definition of "terror".
Terror: "A person who inspires fear or dread."-dictionary.com
Now the average pencil-neck would use something like this to completely support a point, but Im not going to do that. Since the direction of the war is vague, obviously our perception of an enemy will be as well. Since we are mostly targetting a person or organization who instills fear or dread into other persons, organizations, or societies, we are basically attempting to eliminate the opposite of good, which is something similar to evil. The complete elimination of something like this is probably impossible and the closest thing to winning a war on terror would be to end it and stop searching for this terror. This is what I believe but there is this one book that says the elimination of all evil may one day come. I havnt devoted my time in reading this book, but I cosider the possibility. However, I dont think George W. will be the one to eliminate all evil.

Why is there terrorism ? Basically some serious opinion isn't being listened to.
What does war bring ? More insecurity, more anger more subtle ways of provoking more revenge and more inequality.
The only way to face terror is sitting down with it .. and give Love a chance...

Rome wasn't built in a day . President Bush never said it would be quick . The terrorists are on the run , and many important changes are in place to thwart terror . Cooperation and vigilance is of the utmost importance .

I don't think that it's something that can be won. If you look through our recent history we've been fighting the war on drugs for a long time now. This is simply giving a name to the actions of our government as they try to protect the populus from those that would seek to harm or disrupt our way of life.

You're simply misled. This is not, and has not been, a war on TERROR. This was about the oil business, plain and simple.

The terrorist attack on NY was at least good luck for the bush administration....it was a great excuse to go in, and since Daddy Bush had already had to spank Saddaam, it was just the opening that the Dynamic Duo needed.

Win?? As long as there are religions in the world, there are going to be terroristic acts. You DO KNOW that they are all about religion, don't you?

We will not overcome terror by being politically correct. Although not all Muslims are terrorists, just about all terrorists are Muslims.

Probablly not, regardless of who is in power in the US. It's kind of like the war on drugs; it give politicians something to talk about that makes them look like they are doing something positive. People will always hate people who are different than they are.
