Many gang leaders are geniuses. They just fall pray to there lack of social skills and join the first group that will except them.

They have learned to adapt to their enviorment and used what tools are available to work up the ladder. This is their world and leaving is not always an option if you are in very deep. So they adust and make the best of their world without traveling outside the mindset they grew up with.

Gang members are real smart and do not feel threatened, when together. They are very insecure people. But one on one, they are not so powerful.
