I wish that I could say that what attracted me to my partner was what was inside but I have to be honest, it was all physical attraction at the beginning of our relationship. When you first meet a person, you don't think "I'm going to talk to him because he appears to have a great personality and we may have the same core values", that's not how that works, there has to be some sex appeal. Now I love him for who he is and it wouldn't matter to me at all how he looks but I probably would've never found that out if I hadn't first been attracted to him physically.

Well given him/her is someone who cared to be around you in the beginning and given that the girl hasn't facial hair and given the dude isn't considered a herm by his/her friends. Then is when I'd say that the basis for love in it's least form. But if this him/her also would make every thought more enjoyable with laughter and strengths of any sort I'd say this love you have thought about is something to hold on to.
