They apparently posture for there constituents and always feel that they need to be perceived as omniscient. They need to realize that there first plan of action is not always correct. Also, they must realize that it is unethical to manipulate the general public with statistical fallacies to waive the public's decisions in their favor. There is apparent substantial evidence that they lie and it is also public knowledge that they are pathological liars, so then the question is why do we insist on continuing to elect them as our leaders. Is the general public in fear of change or simply not intelligent enough to rebel against popular belief.
This is a question worth asking.

hopefully they have a higher education level than their constituents. Of course they will tell their constituents what they want to hear to get elected, but often times what they say they will do and what they are actually able to accomplish are two completely different things. Hopefully they will do what they believe is in the best interest of their constituents.

Some honest and caring politicians really would like to make the US get better for all citizens, but most of the other politicians are just in it for their own greed for power and money. They are all eventually corrupted because of the willing and dealing they have to do to try to get their agendas passed.

Big ego is a requirement, as is trying to appeal to enough people o get themselves elected. However, I am not that big of a cynic that I don't beleive that some of them actually think that they can do some good for the country and the people.

how old are u? 12? i just can´t understand how come you ask this question. How did it occur to you that a politician is an intelligent person? They are nothing but salesmen. They sale their image in speeches, and they tell us the many reasons why we should buy them: better future, better economy, and blah lah bla.
